Oregonians are leaping into the gun control fray with both barrels as at least five county sheriffs have proclaimed they’ll not enforce new gun laws they view as unconstitutional and eight bills have been introduced into the legislature.
Sheriffs in Washington, Crook, Curry, Coos and Linn counties have sent a letter to Vice-President Joe Biden making it clear that they’ll be the arbiters of what’s legal in their counties. Curious, some point out, as local law enforcement doesn’t enforce federal laws anyway.
Portland Democratic Senator Ginny Burdick has introduced the two most important pieces of legislation. Her SB 346 would ban sales of automatic rifle magazines holding more than 10 bullets and SB 347 would not allow people to carry weapons in schools.
The advocacy group Ceasefire Oregon also plans to introduce a bill to ban sales of automatic rifles. Ceasefire Oregon has several ideas and campaigns to help prevent gun violence in Oregon and across the country.

You should change “automatic rifle magazine” to “any ammunition magazine”. Law would apply to all semi-automatic AR15s, Glock pistols, anything that takes 11+ magazines.
