Our Central Committee meeting is on Thursday, Apr. 19th. Check-in and social time begins at 6:30 pm. All the legislative, county, Metro and Congressional candidates are invited to the Central Committee meeting at 6:30 p.m. for the social time, so be sure to come in plenty of time to meet them.
We are pleased to announce we have a new meeting location for our Central Committee Meetings. We will be meeting at the Northwest Carpenter’s Union Local 146 hall located at 276 Warner Milne Rd., Oregon City, 97045. Thank you to the NW Carpenter’s Union for their generosity. The hall is a bit further for some of you, however, the Union is providing the hall at no cost. It is also a very comfortable meeting space. I am proud to be partnering with our unions. Our only hope in re-building the middle class is to continue supporting strong unions.
Our speaker will be Daniel Lewkow from the ACLU. Daniel is the campaign manager for the “They Report to You” campaign, which focuses on district attorney accountability. In his role, Daniel works to educate voters about who DAs are, what role they have, and how Oregonians can use their voices to call for criminal justice reform. Before joining the ACLU of Oregon, Daniel worked for Common Cause Oregon, advocating for policies to reform our democracy. Daniel has worked on numerous political campaigns, including for candidates and for ballot measures.
In addition to a few business items, we are going to have time for our candidates to speak and meet with member informally. We are inviting candidates to come as early as 6:30 P.M. so our members have time visit. See you all on April 19th
Note the new location!
